IRON JACK strives to entertain and captivate rock fans crying out for a band with rock n’ roll roots but a distinct modern edge. Formed in 2005, Iron Jack are inspired by classic acts such as Aerosmith, AC/DC, Queen, Guns n Roses, Motley Crue, The Darkness and Airbourne.
After developing a strong following on the Sydney pub circuit through their early days, IRON JACK entered Damien Gerard Studios in mid 2008 to record their debut EP “Shot in Hot Blood”. The EP was extremely well received by the public with comparisons to early Guns N Roses and AC/DC. Reviewers on Triple J Unearthed went as far as comparing the band to the great Rose Tattoo saying “Angry wouldn’t be upset with the comparison… defined tunes and catchy tunes have you caught up in its wake.”
In 2010, we sold out the Gaelic Club with the release of our second EP, "Bad girls, need good lovin"
We were predicted by radar radio as one of the top ten biggest bands for 2010, coming in 5th behind Muse and Groove Armarda.
