Mid mountains legendary pianist Neil Sagewood [Babalu, Moodswing, Xmas Swamp band, Axiom trio] returns to Hotel Blue with a new trio and new original compositions. Together with bassist Charlotte Sagewood and drummer Frank Corby, Neil will feature songs from his new album OCTAGON which is soon to be released. Drawing on their world music background in salsa and latin jazz music, the Neil Sagewood Octagon trio will present beautifully crafted bespoke made in the mountains songs in genre blurring arrangements that move from tender notes hanging in the air spaciousness to hip swaggering Afro-Cuban grooves and scintillating solos.
