After marking himself over the past couple of years as one of Australian electronic’s most intriguing producers, Melbourne's Planète (producer and musician Dion Tartaglione) has side stepped his focus with his perception and output. Straying from his better know comparisons with ambient, percussion driven music, Planète has disembarked on a club heavy voyage fusing his passion of Detroit Techno and UK Club culture into a striking affair of clever sampling and rigid drum programming.
On the live front, Planète has been a staple of festival circuits over the past few years, with appearances at Melbourne Music Week, Strawberry Fields and Melbourne’s White Night, peaking mid-2016 when he played to a heaving crowd at Splendour in the Grass. He's also graced the stage with the likes of Jon Hopkins, Jacques Greene, Clark, Machine Drum, Com Truise, Romare & Pantha Du Prince, quickly building a reputation for his his engaging live set-up and sprawling electronic constructions.
